1. You Won’t Get the Nutrients You Need

Lentils, beans, nuts, and soy products like tofu are all excellent sources of protein. Almond butter-stuffed dates, for instance, are delightfully rich and entirely vegan-friendly. 

2. Veganism Isn’t Actually Healthy

Palm oil, tortilla or potato chips, artificial bacon bits, and certain popular cookies and sweets are vegan and carry saturated fats, high sodium levels, refined sugars, or other not-so-good-for-you ingredients. However, if your vegan diet is properly balanced with fresh produce and whole grains, you can maintain a healthy weight and reduce the likelihood of heart disease and other serious health issues.
